Cookie policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This page explains how COIMJ Villa (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.coimjvilla.com, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. They let a website remember things about your visit, for example a choice you made.
What we use
| What | Set by | Type | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
villa_cookie_consent (browser local storage) |
COIMJ Villa | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. | Until you change your choice or clear your browser data |
| Google Maps map (Home and Contact pages) | Functionality – only with your consent | Shows where the villa is on an embedded map. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. | Set by Google – see Google's cookie policy | |
| Google Fonts | Needed to show the page | Your browser downloads the fonts of this website from Google. No cookies are set, but Google receives your IP address. | – |
We do not use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Staff of COIMJ Villa who sign in to our private admin area receive a login cookie. This does not apply to guests visiting the website.
Your choices
- When you first visit, a notice asks for your consent. Accept allows the Google Maps map; Reject keeps it switched off. The website works either way.
- You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or with the button above.
- Without consent the map is hidden, but you can still open our location directly on Google Maps.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of websites from working.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and the date above, and ask for your consent again where needed.
